Zippers, like commuters, come in a variety of sizes and finishes. Some are invisible, hiding behind a protective layer.  Others are broken, holding themselves together and praying the safety pin doesn't come undone.  Some, like the one above, bravely peek out at the world around them.

And like the commuter who is too tall for the subway car, this too-long zipper curves to protect the precious headroom above.
